Hyderabad,Dec 14:The Centre has taken a hasty decision on a delicate issue like Telangana which led to the present turmoil in the state, said Telugu Desam party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu here on Monday.Interacting with the media here in the wake of the latest situation in Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu condemned the arrest of Lagadapati Rajgopal and appealed to the agitators not to get carried away by emotions. He observed that everyone has a right to show his resentment but should not turn violent. It is due to the hasty decision of the Centre that all the political parties in the state have been divided into two, he lamented. He admitted that his party like all other political parties in the state failed to read the pulse of people on the issue of Telangana before taking a decision.
Now the issue is in the people’s court and the centre has to come out with a solution which is acceptable to the people of both the regions.Referring to the resignation of his party MLAs he said that his MLAs resigned owing to the pressure from the locals. All my appeals to my own party MLAs to withdraw their resignations has fallen on a deaf ear and I am unable to convince them on their resignation. At the moment we are conferring with the senior party leaders on the present state of Andhra before expressing our party’s stand on the issue of bifurcation.Adjourning the assembly is not the right thing at the moment he felt.
