Hyderabad,Dec 10: Within three days after assuring the Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief K Chandrasekhar Rao about his party’s support for a separate Telangana, the TDP chief is now facing stiff opposition from his own Part y MLAs over the T-issue.At this juncture Chandrababu stands exposed for the statement he made earlier on the statehood of Telangana. He was under the impression that Congress would never take such a bold step of introducing a resolution on separate Telangana. Taken aback by the turn of events,Chandrababu was caught on a sticky wicket. Already 20 MLAs have submitted their resignations, and with more resignations to follow the TDP chief is blaming the Congress squarely for the fiasco. The TDP chief in his latest press conference blamed the Congress for the present situation and said that the Centre should have taken the decision only after having a prolonged debate on this sensitive issue.
This clearly shows that Chandrababu paid only lip sympathy for the Telangana issue. On Thursday morning, he called for a meeting of his party MLAs to discuss what strategy the party should adopt if the resolution is passed. Already, several MLAs from Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra opposed the Telangana move.PRP MLAs follow the suit On the other hand the Praja Rajyam Party MLAs resigned enmase showing their resentment against Chiranjeevi’s decision to support the cause of Telangana. The PRP which is fighting for its survival new seems to be almost winding up its show.
