Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday paid rich tributes to TDP founder and former chief minister late Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao on his death anniversary.
Accompanied with his wife Bhuvaneshwari, son Lokesh and daughter-in-law Brahmani, Naidu visited NTR Ghat near Hussainsagar and paid floral tributes. Speaking to media persons later, Naidu reiterated his demand for "Bharat Ratna" for NTR posthumously. He said he would continue his efforts to get the highest civilian award for the TDP founder who has rendered lot of services for the poor and downtrodden.
TDP leaders, from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, including AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Telangana TDP President L Ramana were present on the occasion. Later, he also paid floral tributes to NTR at his statue at Rasoolpura.
