KCR to release book on Telangana

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will release a book titled “Emergence of Telangana” here on Friday.

The book authored by AK Goel, retired IAS officer and presently Advisor to Government, is one of the first books about Telangana.

The book explains the multidimensional reality of Telangana.  Its evolution has witnessed each and every dimension through the vicissitudes of time.  The book is an attempt to narrate the whole story from ‘Birth of the Universe’ to the ‘Birth of Telangana’. 

The author has claimed that all those who love Telangana land and its people, including national and global Diaspora, will surely like it.  The initial chapters, reflecting geographical and technological aspects, would be quite familiar to scientist and engineers.  The subsequent chapters develop social and economic perspective, with technology acting as a latent force behind the rise and fall of dynasties.  The final chapters have imperial flavour, where political aspect is dominant.  The last chapter follows a contour where Telangana polity, driven by people’s aspirations finally emerges.  Their democratic struggle, with shared memories of defeats and victories over generations, has finally delivered their Self Rule.

“Statehood for Telangana is bound to release suppressed energies of its people. But, before they plunge into future, it is perhaps the right juncture to peep back into their glorious millennial history.  Learning from the past indeed, helps to shape our future,” Goel said in a press release on Thursday.
