The Ysr Congress Party on Saturday alleged that the TDP Government was creating unemployment in Andhra Pradesh by indirectly removing existing vacancies.
Speaking to media persons at Assembly media point here, YSRCP MLAs Roja and B Srikanth Reddy said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was wants to finish the Indira Kranthi Patham (IKP) scheme as it was started by late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy. They said by not releasing the salaries of IKP workers, the State Government was sending them indirect message to search for other jobs. Similar is the status of Anganwadi and Asha workers. The government is also not releasing payments for contract employees, they alleged.
The YSRCP MLAs said that the TDP came to power on the promise of eradicating unemployment from the State. However, the TDP Government is promoting unemployment by taking away existing jobs. They slammed the government for not agreeing to discuss the IKP issue in the House. However, they said that the YSRCP would continue to raise the issue and would launch a strong protest against rising unemployment.
