Aarogyasri Trust to get "Sustainability Award"

The Aarogyasri Health Care Trust is being awarded “Sustainability Award” CSI- Nihilent e-Governance Awards 2013-14

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be presenting the award at a ceremony to be held on Saturday at Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium, JNTU, Kukatpally, Hyderabad as part of 49thAnnual Convention of Computer Society of India (CSI-2014).

The Trust received invitation to submit nomination in the CSI- Nihilent e-Governance Awards 2013-14. Trust confirmed its participation under the Sustainability Category by submitting nomination along with Letter of Authorization from Trust. The Selection Committee Member team accepted nomination and visited Trust on 27th September’2014 for further evaluation of nomination of Trust under “Sustainability Category”.

Trust CEO K Dhananjaya Reddy had explained the background for implementation of Health Scheme for Below Poverty Line families in both the States of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, its origin, history etc., It was explained that the scheme is implemented on a web based application with round the clock availability to all the stake holders and in an transparent manner.  The team were informed that the application contains modules right from empanelment of hospitals, registration for OP/IP procedures, Preauthorization approval for treatment, claim process etc.,

From the year 2008 till date significant developments are made in the application, CEO, AHCT explained the increase in the impact of the application both in length and breadth wise where SMS alerts to patients, Introduction on Online package pricing of Procedures, the activities of 104 call center being run and that it provides Non-Emergency Health Advice and Guidance related to any Medical & Health care services, Provision of vital statistics on portal with Choropleth maps drilled down till the procedure wise and further Introduction of EHS application for State Government Employees and Pensioners for Employees Health Scheme.

The committee did detailed evaluation of the Application duly going through the online module of application and also questioned about the monitoring and implementation of application.
