Hyderabad, Dec 7:Pradesh Congress president D Srinivas on Monday left for New Delhi to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi to apprise her of the developments on the Telangana score.He told reporters at his residence before he left for Delhi his resolve to solve the troubled Telangana row triggered by the indefinite fast launched by Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhara Rao He hopes that a solution could be arrived at, which is acceptable to all the political parties.He hoped a ‘House committee’ formed by representatives of all parties would be able to arrive at a solution.He criticised the action taken up by the police in some areas, particularly the incident where policemen thrashed one of the agitators and mishandled some media persons.
“There was no need for over reaction, when the people could be controlled by a mild lathicharge and such things would make the people lose fear of police,” he said. He added that the “situation should not be aggravated and the administration should minimize the possibility of provocation.”Srinivas called on the TRS president on Sunday.
