Harish Rao,Rajendra taken into custody

Hyderabad,Dec 7: Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLAs Harish Rao and Yetela Rajendra were taken into preventive custody as the two were leading a dharna on the Osmania University Engineering College campus on Monday morning.Rao warned the authorities of severe repercussions if the police resorted to disrupt the peaceful agitation launched by the Joint Action Committee of students on the campus.

Demanding that the Government withdraw police forces from the Osmania University campus immediately, Rao said the administration must not indulge in arrests, lathicharges to suppress the peaceful and democratic agitation launched by the students.As the demos led by Rao turned violent, the policemen arrested the two leader as a step to preempt any untoward situation.The duo were taken to Bowenpally police station.
