The Bharatiya Janata Party has described the budget presented by Finance Minister Etala Rajender as completely disappointing.
Speaking to media persons here, Telangana BJP floor leader Dr K Lakshman said that the budget speech lacked clarity on funds would be arranged to implement the projects. However, he said that the Telangana Government was relying largely on Central funds. He said State schemes could not be implemented just on speculations and therefore, the government should have come out with specific plans to generate revenues.
Lakshman said that there was no mention of steps to be taken to prevent farmers' suicides and measures being taken to overcome power crisis. As against the promise of providing free education from KG to PG, very few funds have been allocated for the education sector. He alleged that the Finance Minister did not do his homework well which got clearly reflected in his budget speech.
