Deputy CLP leader in Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir announced that he would explore legal options to register a case of cheating against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and other TRS leaders for making false promises in their party manifesto.
Addressing a press conference at the Congress Legislature Party office here on Saturday, Shabbir Ali said that Kcr has deliberately cheated the people of Telangana, especially farmers, by making non-practical promises on supplying power. Instead of eight hours, the TRS should have promised power supply for only three hours as it was aware that the new State would face shortage of energy due to bifurcation. Despite having complete knowledge of the real situation, the TRS cheated the people by making false promises which consequently drove several farmers to suicide and others to severe hardship.
Responding to Panchayat Raj Minister K Tarakarama Rao's allegations that Congress party was responsible for the present situation, Shabbir Ali said that the TRS Government was not willing to accept any responsibility. "They are blaming us for the energy crisis, suicide of farmers, sacrifices made for Telangana and everything else that is going wrong. Despite being in power, they don't want to accept any responsibility. If blaming Congress is the only solution, then the TRS Government should resign and allow us to run the government. We will show them how the government is run," he said.
Shabbir Ali asked KTR to focus on plugging the loopholes in the administration instead of indulging in blame game.
