The budget session of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly is likely to begin from October 20.
An indication to this effect was given by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao himself when he visited the Assembly building on Thursday. After paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at his statue in the Assembly premises to mark his birth anniversary, the Chief Minister had spent almost one hour with Speaker Madhusadan Chary, Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Goud, Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao and other senior officials. According to sources, KCR asked Harish Rao to explore the possibilities of convening the budget session from October 20.
Meanwhile, sources said that some Congress and TDP MLAs might join the Telangana Rashtra Samithi before the commencement of the budget session.
