BJP National Executive Member and former minister Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Saturday alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was afraid of facing the opposition in the Legislative Assembly.
Addressing a press conference at the State BJP office here, Nagam alleged that the TRS Government confined itself to mere promises and announcements. The government took no practical measures to resolve the problems being faced by the people. He said while the farmers were being denied power even for five hours a day, Hyderabad is facing power cuts for almost six hours. He asked Kcr to make a statement on the power position in the State.
Nagam said that the farmers would not be able to get fresh crop loans if the State Government fails to make a payment to the banks on loan waiver schemes by September 30. Therefore, he said that the government takes immediate steps to make clear the amount to the banks. Further, the government is yet to clear the fee reimbursement dues for the last academic year and the guidelines for FAST scheme were yet to be framed. He asked the Chief Minister to specify as to what he proposes to do address these issues.
The BJP leader said if the Telangana State was having surplus budget, then Kcr must explain the reasons for delay in releasing the funds. He alleged that the Chief Minister was afraid of facing the opposition parties in the State Legislative Assembly and that was the reason why he was delaying the convening of session.
