Hyderabad,Dec 4: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K.Chandrasekhar Rao, who was shifted to Nizam Institute of Medical sciences,Hyderabad on Thursday continued his indefinite fast unto death at the NIIMS on Friday.The indefinite fast of Kcr,entered the fourth day and doctors at NIMS who are monitoring his health said that he had become weak.According to the doctors Kcr’s vital organs are functioning normally,his body was weak because he was not taking any food.The TRS chief is not taking any food while the doctors are continuing to administer saline to him.
The TRS leaders and cadre are a worried lot as he is continuing his fast.The TRS chief who is in judicial custody, said that he would call off his fast only if the Centre comes out with a solution over the issue of separate Telangana which is acceptable for the people of Telangana.The TRS supporters continued their protests across the Telangana region and Hyderabad.Despite the government declaring a fortnight holiday from December 3 to keep away the agitating students from fray,some stray incidents of protests were reported from Telangana districts.The situation in Osmania University campus is tense with students taking out protests and rallies.It is learnt that K.Srikant, 30, a student of Pharmacy college in Hyderabad, who had set himself ablaze four days ago in protest of Kcr's arrest succumbed to burns at a hospital here on Thursday night.
