Hyderabad,Dec 4 (INN): Demanding the introducing of separate Telangana Bill in the winter session of parliament,the students under the leadership of Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) on Friday staged a dharna in front of the Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao’s house at Amberpet in the city.Addressing the gathering, the student leaders urged the Hanumantha Rao to prevail upon the Congress president Sonia Gandhi for the introducing the Telangana statehood bill in this winter session of parliament.The student leaders said they would intensify their agitation till the government makes it stand clear on the Telangana issue.They urged the Congress leader to bring the issue before the notice of Sonia Gandhi to take appropriate decision as early as possible.Promising to take up the issue before the high command,the Congress leader told the students to agitate in a peaceful manner for the cause of Telangana.He also promised to lift police cases filed foistedly against student leaders in the various police stations in the Telangana region during fast-unto-death launched by TRS leader K Chandrasekhara Rao at Siddipet in Medak district.To mount pressure on the Centre,a delegation of MPs from the Telangana region would meet Sonia Gandhi.They also raised slogans against the Centre and state government protesting the government’s indifferent attitude on Telangana issue.
