BJP deputy floor leader Chintala Ramchandra Reddy on Monday described Telangana Rashtra Samithi as a family-run party where no other leader is given any powers.

Addressing a press conference at the State BJP office here, Ramchandra Reddy said that TRS Government in the State is nothing short of a family show where Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and only his family members are playing the lead. Except for KCR's son K Tarakarama Rao (IT Minister), son-in-law T Harish Rao (Irrigation Minister) and daughter K Kavitha (Nizamabad MP), no other leader is holding any powers. Even Deputy Chief Ministers, Revenue or Finance Ministers have no powers to take policy decisions, he alleged. Except for family members, KCR trusts no one and therefore, using all other ministers, MPs and legislators as rubber stamps.

Ramchandra Reddy asked KCR to explain as to why he did not induct a woman or a ST leader into his cabinet. He sought to know whether TRS was not having any qualified and eligible woman or ST leader who could be elevated to the minister's posts.

The BJP MLA also slammed the TRS leaders for describing BJP's candidate for Medak by-election T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy as a "goonda". He said if Jagga Reddy is a "goonda", then TRS leaders should clarify their views on the backgrounds of MLA Konda Surekha, Minister Mahender Reddy and the present Medak candidate Kotha Prabhakar Reddy. He claimed that the people of Medak would reject the family rule of KCR in the by-elections and BJP would emerge victorious.
