Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Thursday strongly defended the party's decision to nominate T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy as its candidate for the Medak Lok Sabha by-elections.
Speaking to media persons at the State BJP office here, Kishan Reddy said that Jagga Reddy began his political career from the BJP. He said Jagga Reddy was never against formation of Telangana although he supported united Andhra Pradesh along with a few others. However, his support for Samaikhyandhra does not make him a betrayer of Telangana, he said.
Kishan Reddy said that Jagga Reddy does not need the certificate of Telangana Rashtra Samithi to prove his commitment for Telangana. He accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of giving tickets to betrayers of Telangana just for the sake of money. He said the failures of TRS Government in the last three month would be the BJP's agenda for Medak by-polls.
The T-BJP chief also alleged that MIM was supporting the Snake Gang which had resorted to chain snatchings and rapes of women in the Pahadishareef PS limits. Stating the rapists should be severely punished, he alleged that the gang members were being given political patronage by the MIM.
