Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday announced that his government would act tough against the organised crime and the law and order in the State would be flawless.
Replying to a debate on Law and Order situation in the State Legislative Assembly here, Naidu claimed that the TDP never comprised on law and order during its previous regimes. Therefore, a similar policy would be adopted to eliminate organised crime from the State. He said there was no question of sparing the criminals under any circumstances.
Naidu said that organised mafia took a strong grip on the land, sand and mining businesses during previous regime. However, the TDP Government would act tough against the mafia across the State. He also assured that peace and harmony would be maintained in the society.
Earlier, the YSR Congress Party MLAs, led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, staged a walkout from the House alleging their voice was being suppressed. They also staged a dharna outside the assembly. They accused Speaker Dr Kodela Sivaprasad Rao of acting in a partisan manner.
Jagan alleged that the Speaker was giving more opportunities for the ruling party members. "When we wanted to raise the issue of the spate of murders of YSRCP activists post elections, the speaker gave an opportunity to TDP MLA G Butchaiah Chowdary to speak innuendo and peddle misinformation," he alleged.
