Hyderabad, Dec 2: Osmania University students on Wednesday burnt the effigies of Chief Minister K Rosaiah and former minister Konda Surekha in protest against the Government’s indifference to the demand forTelangana statehood.The Telangana leaders and the student activists led by Osmania University Joint Action Committee staged a dharna and rally on the campus.
The JAC members said they would continue their relay fast on the campus until the Centre introduced separate Telangana statehood Bill in the current session of Parliament.Other universities in the Telangana region also continued to witness student agitations for the third consecutive day. Students at Palamur University in Mahbubnagar, MG University in Nalgonda, Telangana University in Nizamabad and Kakatiya University in Warangal sat on an indefinite relay fastav and took up protest rallies.
