Ponguleti welcomes proposed Film City

Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Saturday welcomed the announcement made by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of establishing a new film city near Hyderabad.

Speaking to media persons in Assembly premises here, Ponguleti said that people from Telangana State should be given preference in the proposed film city and it must be used to promote film industry of the new State. He also suggested that a new TV City should also be established. Alleging that the present film city is owned by a few individuals, he demanded a proble into the misuse of assigned lands in the present film city.

Ponguleti also asked KCR to take steps to eliminate land and other mafia from the city. He said an enquiry should be ordered into the encroachments and misuse of land in Film Nagar.
