Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao on Monday said that the issue of nativity for fee reimbursement would be sort out soon after meeting his counterparts in Telangana.
Ganta said that common issues between both the States would be discussed and a consensus decision would be taken soon. Without naming he hinted and asked Telangana government not to create unnecessary constitutional crisis like situation by giving confusing statements on fee reimbursement. Answering a question on this issue he said, “The question that who will pay for reimbursement rise later but there is no need to create constitutional crisis like situation with confusing statements.”
A decision pertaining to nativity should be taken under the guidelines of Article 371 D, Mulki rules and constitution but not others, he said. Commenting on reports that Telangana government was considering 1956 as reference date for deciding nativity he said that his government did not receive any official communication. Arguing that determining nativity is not a state subject he said that if needed AP government will ask centre to intervene and take a decision. About delay in release of GO for fee reimbursement in his state he said, “Let Telangana government take decision first, there is lot of confusion as to what decision Telangana government will take.”
Ganta was speaking at an even organized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technology (RGUKT). He informed that AP government has taken a decision to enhance the management quota from five to 15 percent for EAMCET counseling this year.
