The arrest of KCR, severe lathi charges in Osmania University, arrest of all major leaders of TRS …were all the yesterday’s highlights in the struggle for Telangana statehood. To get the national recognition for their struggle TRS has called for a Telangana Bandh today, as everybody knew.
Except few pressurized bandhs here and there in Hyderabad and Nalgonda districts, all the reports from Telangana reveal that Telangaan citizens have reciprocated well to the adventure of KCR and have called for a voluntary bandh to show their support for KCR.
In Medak district and Karimnagar districts, bandh is going peaceful and SP said that TRS activists are supporting well to Police in maintaining the peaceful atmosphere. The same is reported from Adilabad and Nizamabad districts, as even APSRTC have stopped their bus services in respective bus stations. In Hyderabad alone nearly 2000 local buses were known to be parked in respective depots and Mahatma Gandhi Imliban Bus Station is looking like a desert with buses to nearly 450 destinations kept at halt.
Many of the KCR followers in Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar districts have voluntarily opted for fasting until KCR is released. The same has been visible at all the hostels in Osmania and Kakatiya Universities.
TRS activists have targeted the Vignan Concept School’s bus near Champapet when students are getting into the bus. These activists have vacated the bus and made driver to run away and then kept the bus on fire. Here and there even few violent activities are reported but on overall till this time, Bandh can be called as a peaceful reciprocation by Telanganites to KCR’s arrest and their struggle for separate statehood.
