The Opposition parties led  by Telugu Desam  raised the issue  of poor maintenance of   Social welfare  Hostels by the Government in the state during  the question Hour in the Assembly on Thursday.  Alleging that  there was no proper  rely from the Government on this issue, the TTdp, Bharaitya Janata Party and the Left parties staged a walkout  while the Praja Rajyam party and the Telangan Rashtra  Samithi were content sitting in the house showing resentment.

The Tdp members  speaking on the  maintenance of the hostels  voiced their concern over the poor maintenance of the Government hostels. They said theat the inmates are not even provided  with the minimum basic facilities  in the hostels.

Praja Rajyam Party floor leader, Chiranjeevi  that the Government had  failed miserably in providing  the basic facilities to the hostellers.

The Telanga Rashtra Samithi demanded that the Government should inclrese the mess charges of  hostellers  in view of the rise in prices of the essential commodities. It is unfortunate that  the Government which spends  Rs 30 per day on the prisoners in the  jail fails to allocate  that much amount to the inmates of the Welfare hostels in the state.
