Hyderabad,Nov 28 (INN): Y.S Vijaya Lakshmi,the widow of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, has decided to file her nomination papers for the Pulivendula Assembly constituency on Dec 1, by-election for which has been scheduled by the Central Election Commissioner for Dec 19.The Pradesh Congress Committee on Saturday issued the Form-B to facilitate Vijaya Lakshmi to file her nomination. As prescribed in the election rules,a candidate would be allowed to contest on party symbol  after he/she submits the Form-B duly certified by the party.State Government adviser K V P Ramachandra Rao,a confidante of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, collected the Form-B on the behalf of Vijaya Lakshmi.

The high command has accorded top priority to YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s family members by choosing Y S Vijayalakshmi as it candidate to fill the gap.The election to the Pulivendula assembly constituency was necessitated after the sudden demise of YSR in chopper crash on September 2 The last date for filing of nomination is December 2 and scrutiny of nominations will be held on the same day.Last date for withdrawal of nominations is December 5.
