The Telugu Desam Party leaders on Friday requested the Election Commission of India to conduct repolling in some booths in Kadapa and other constituencies where the YSR Congress Party activists allegedly resorted to irregularities.

TDP MP CM Ramesh called on Chief Election Commission VS Sampath alleging that the YSRCP activists carried out attacks in some areas in Kadapa, Jammalmadugu and Mydukuru Assembly segments on the polling day on May 7. He alleged that the YSRCP leaders and activists attacked the TDP activists and security personnel on duty. He also submitted a few video clippings showing scenes of booth capturing and other irregularities. He appealed to the CEC to order repolling in violence-hit polling booths in Seemandhra region.
