Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief spokesperson Dr Shravan Kumar on Friday ridiculed the criticism of TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao against BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Nadrendra Modi.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Shravan Kumar said that KCR's criticism was aimed at drawing the attention of Muslim community in Telangana region. He said that the Muslim community was not believe KCR's promise of 12% reservation and Deputy Chief Minister and three cabinet berths to the community if TRS is voted to power. He said KCR has been facing severe criticism for denying adequate number of tickets to Muslim candidates. Therefore, sensing that the Muslims would vote for the Congress party, KCR has been making anti-Modi statements to draw their attention.
Shravan Kumar said that the United Muslim Forum and other Muslim organisations have extended their support to the Congress candidates. Therefore, KCR is now trying hard to draw their attention by giving statements against Modi to prove his secularism.
