Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday demanded that BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi apologise to the people of Telangana for hurting their sentiments.

Addressing a public meeting in Banswada of Nizamabad district, KCR alleged that Modi has been making some derogatory remarks about Telangana and its people by comparing it to a tale of a child birth wherein the mother has been killed after the child is born. Ridiculing Modi's story, KCR said that Modi had no knowledge about the Telangana history, its culture and the movement for statehood. He advised Modi to stay silent on Telangana issue and apologise to the people for hurting their sentiments.
