Ponnala assures National Project status for Pranahita Chevella

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Friday assured to take steps to get National Project status for Pranahita Chevella.

Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Ponnala said that the Centre needs to give some more clearances for Pranahita-Chevella and once all the clearances are accomplished, efforts would be intensified to get National Project status. He said that only Congress party could get national status for the project and complete the same as per the schedule. He hoped that Pranahita-Chevella Project would revolutionise the irrigation scenario of entire Telangana region.

Ponnala condemned TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao for criticising AICC President Sonia Gandhi. He said people have stopped taking KCR's comments seriously and realised that only Congress party could deliver on its promises. He said it was the Congress party which gave statehood to Telangana region and only Congress can bring development in the new State.
