Ponnala condemns criticism against Sonia

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Thursday condemned the criticism by TRS, TDP and BJP leaders against AICC President Sonia Gandhi.

Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Ponnala alleged that the opposition parties have crossed all limits while critising the AICC President over Telangana issue. He also condemned parties for making remarks against Priyanka Gandhi. He accused them of not showing any respect towards women leaders. He demanded that TRS President K Chandrasekhar Rao and other leaders tender an unconditional apology for their remarks against Sonia Gandhi.

Ponnala also dismissed KCR's demand for an enquiry against him for the alleged irregularities in Jalayagnam project. He said that the CBI and Lok Ayukta have already given clean chit to him and therefore, no further enquiry was required.

The TPCC chief evaded direct reply to the questions related to distribution of employees between Telangana and Seemandhra.
