APCC Manifesto Committee chairman Anam Ramnarayana Reddy on Tuesday informed that the Congress party's manifesto for Seemandhra region for the ensuing general elections would be finalised soon.
Speaking to media persons after chairing a meeting of Manifesto Committee at Indira Bhavan here, Anam said that the basic draft of manifesto was ready. However, it would be given a proper shape in the next two sittings. The draft manifesto would then be sent to the Congress High Command for final approval.
Anam said that focus has been laid on the implementation of special packages announced by the Centre for the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh. He said the opinions of experts have been sought on issues like drinking water, irrigation, power and other major requirements for Seemandhra region in view of bifurcation. He said that the Congress manifesto would promise faster and comprehensive development of Andhra Pradesh.
