Senior leaders of Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Monday called on CPI Secretary K Narayana to explore the possibilities of alliance between the two parties in the next general elections.
Trs Secretary General K Keshava Rao and former MP B Vinod Kumar met Narayana on Monday. Their meeting assumes significance following reports that the alliance between the Congress and CPI for the next general elections is all set to materialise. The Congress party has agreed to leave one Lok Sabha and 12 Assembly seats to the CPI in next elections. However, sources say that the Trs leaders have offered a better package to the CPI if its allies with it, instead of Congress.
However, the leaders of both the parties did not specify as to what transpired during their meeting on Monday.
