N Chandrababau Naidu and N Kiran Kumar Reddy have hit the campaign trail on negative note as they have nothing to tell about their achievements while YSR Congress leaders will go to the people with a positive sign and promise that they will bring back era of YSR which shows who is chalk and who is cheese, party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma has said.
“The two leaders held public meetings yesterday and devoted their time to target YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and appealing to people not to vote for YSRCP and this negative streak will boomerang. They had no heart to tell what good they have done while they were chief ministers,” she told media here on Thursday.
The negative approach of not to vote for YSRCP will have severe repercussions on them and they are heading for a rout as YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, YS Vijayamma and Sharmila will go on electioneering with a promise to bring in a welfare state.
During the three-and-a-half year term, Kiran Kumar Reddy had become notorious for increasing power tariff manifold, increasing rtc bus charges and above all doing away with YSR welfare schemes. He was the key player in the Delhi drama in dividing the state and has now taken up the Samaikhyandhra slogan which carries neither conviction nor reason.
“Now Kiran Kumar Reddy speaking that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is after power makes no sense and people’s memory is not short. It was he who clinched to the chair till the last minute and obeyed every order of the High Command in the division process.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had defied the Delhi dictates and stood for what he believed in. It was the Delhi Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad who said that Jagan would have been made union minister and chief minister had he been in Congress party. The difference is too clear to understand,” she said.
Both Chandrababu Naidu and Kiran Kumar Reddy calling upon the youth to vote for their respective parties cannot be justified as Naidu during in his nine year term and Kiran Kumar Reddy during his tenure had not implemented a scheme that benefitted the youth. The fees reimbursement scheme was heavily diluted on the contrary.
While Naidu has made a hue and cry that YSRCP will join BJP is now sending political overtures to the same BJP and is ready to align with anyone.
Naidu who has no moral right to criticise Jagan as the TDP leader has helped Congress in numerous occasions and has been trying to play mentor to the new parties that would be coming up.
“In all YSRCP is far ahead of other parties and Congress along with TDP would be consigned to history in the state as people are vexed with the two parties and they have immense belief in Jagan Mohan Reddy,” she said.
