Speaker decision is final in the House

Hyderabad, July 29 :-

 The Speaker has the power to disallow adjournment motion on any issue taken up by any party member, stated Assembly Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy.

He made it clear this on Wednesday when the Telugu Desam party (TDP) members demanded adjournment motion for discussing ‘illegal’ barrages being constructed by Karnataka and Maharashtra on rivers Krishna and Godavari in the House.

"Our MPs have already been talking to Government of India over the issue. There is no need to raise this issue again in the House,” the Speaker felt.

Not satisfied over the decision of Speaker, the Opposition TDP members expressed their protest by showing placards to the speaker.

Kiran Kumar Reddy further said that the members have no right express their protest over the Speakers decision and his decision is final on any issue in the House.
