Who will contest from Pulivendula seat?

New Delhi,Nov 20: The by-election to Pulivendula Assembly constituency,represented by late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy,will be held on Dec 19.According to the Election Commission,the notification will be issued on Nov 25.The election was necessitated following the death of late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy,who was killed in a chopper crash near Nallamala forests on September 2.Ysr was holding the Pulivendula Assembly constituency for six terms consecutively and it has become Ysr’s family domain and bastion of the Congress party.

The election code will come into effect from the date of election notification, the Commission said.The last date for receiving nominations is Dec 2 and sc,rutiny of nominations will take place on Dec 3.The last date for withdrawing nominations is Dec 5.The counting of ballots will be held on Dec 23.The moot question is who will contest the elections on behalf of the Congress?
