Union Minister of State for Transport Sarve Satyanarayana on Thursday dismissed reports that he was in the race for the post of Chief Minister of Telangana.
Speaking to media persons at Fateh Maidan Club here, Sarve said that the he would prefer national politics than aspiring for the Chief Minister's post. He said he would campaign for the Congress party at the national level as a Dalit MP.
Sarve also claimed that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy would not go against the decision of Congress Working Committee in the State Legislative Assembly. If the Chief Minister oppose the CWC decision, then the High Command would take immediate action against him, he said.
Sarve also denied allegations of land grabbing and other charges leveled against him by a television new channel. He offered to resign from the post if allegations were proved against him. He demanded that the new channel tender an unconditional apology to him. Else, he threatened to approach the court and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting against the channel.
