Seemandhra MPs end fast, held for taking out rally

The Congress MPs from Seemandhra region ended their two-day hunger strike on Saturday afternoon.

The MPs - Lagadapati Rajagopal, GV Harsha Kumar and Sabbam Hari, undertook the hunger fast on Friday demanding that the Centre stop the Andhra Pradesh. The MPs along with their supporters had launched the fast at Dharna Chowk at Indira Park.

The hunger fast was called off about six hour earlier than the scheduled time. The MPs then tried to proceed towards Telugu Talli Statue near the Secretariat in a rally. However, the police foiled the rally and took the MPs into custody.
