Former minister T Jeevan Reddy on Wednesday demanded that the Congress High Command dismiss Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy from his post immediately.

Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises here, Jeevan Reddy condemned the Chief Minister for stripping D Sridhar Babu of the portfolio of Legislative Affairs Minister. He said that by taking away the portfolio and giving the same to S Sailajanath, a Seemandhra minister, was an insult to the entire people of Telangana region. He said that the Chief Minister's action was revenge against Sridhar Babu who initiated the debate on Telangana Bill in the Assembly. Ideally, he said that the Chief Minister himself should have initiated the discussion on such an important Bill.

Jeevan Reddy said that Sridhar Babu was actively involved in the Telangana campaign even before the Congress Working Committee took a decision in favour of State's bifurcation. By stripping him off from the portfolio of Legislative Affair, Kiran Kumar Reddy tried to cause damage to Congress party's image in Telangana region.
