Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA K Tarakarama Rao on Sunday expressed confidence that Hyderabad would emerge as the Information Technology capital of India after the formation of Telangana State.
Addressing a meeting organised by the IT Association at Sundaraiyya Vignana Kendram here, KTR said that all efforts would be made to develop Hyderabad as country's preferred IT hub. He said other towns of Telangana State would also be developed as IT hubs. He said that the Centre should make efforts to develop new IT hubs in the country.
KTR ridiculed the claim of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu that he developed Hyderabad as IT destination. He said while the TDP Government gave two acres of land for IT development, it gave 15 acres to set up farm houses. He advised Naidu to restrain from making false claims.
The TRS leader also described Seemandhra ministers and leaders as opportunists. He challenged the Seemandhra leaders for an open debate on the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He said if the police constables on duty were being punished for raising the slogan of Jai Telangana, then how N Kiran Kumar Reddy could raise Jai Samaikhyandhra slogan while performing duties of a Chief Minister.
KTR said that the Congress party could not be believed until it passes the Telangana Bill in the Parliament.
