Continued agitation hits normal life in Seemandhra

Normal life in 13 districts of costal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions remained affected with several organisations continuing their protest against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh for the 40th consecutive day on Sunday.

The Samaikhyandhra activists organised rasta roko, took out rallies and staged dharnas at several places in Seemandhra region. Massive protests were seen in Kurnool, Kadapa, Anantapur, Vizianagaram, East Godavari and other districts. The activists also conducted cultural programmes on the roads.

Besides raising slogans in favour of Samaikhyandhra, the activists also demanded that the elected representatives, especially the union ministers and MPs from the region resign from their posts and join their agitation.
