Finance Minister Anam Ramanrayana Reddy on Tuesday alleged that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu took a U-turn on the Telangana issue in view of Samaikhyandhra agitation.
Talking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan here, Anam said that Naidu not only supported Telangana formation, but also wrote a letter to the Centre favouring statehood for the region. He even demanded Rs 5 lakh crore from the Centre for the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. However, when the Samaikhyandra agitation intensified in Seemandhra region, he took a U-turn and started enacting political dramas in the Parliament through his party MPs. He also ridiculed Naidu's proposed bus yatra in the Seemandhra region.
