Government Whip in Legislative Council Rudraraju Padmaraju informed that a strong group was being formed to represent the views of Seemandhra people before the High Power Committee led by Defence Minister AK Antony.
Talking to reporters in the Assembly premises here on Wednesday, Padmaraju said that the views of people from coastal Andhra and Rayalaseeema were not taken into consideration before the Centre announced a favourable decision on Telangana. However, he said that the detailed views of the people along with factual and statistically correct reports would be submitted to the Antony Committee on August 11 at New Delhi.
Padmaraju said the several Seemandhra businessmen have invested huge amounts for the development of Hyderabad. Therefore, their contribution could not be ignored completely. He said injustice was done to the people of Seemandhra region through the decision of bifurcating the State.
The Govt Whip also said that the APNGOs strike from August 12 would bring the State administration to a halt.
