Congress president Sonia Gandhi said that the decision to form Telangana by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh was final and it will not be reconsidered.
Sonia Gandhi reiterated her stand while interacting with a delegation of Kurnool leaders led by Union Minister of State for Railways Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy here on Tuesday. The Kurnool leaders gave here three options: maintain status quo of united Andhra Pradesh, trifurcate AP to form Rayalaseema State or form Rayala-Telangana with Hyderabad as Union Territory. However, Sonia Gandhi did not react to any of the demand and said they should make representation to High Powered Committee led by AK Antony.
Sonia assured that the Centre would redress all the problems and issues of Seemandhra people before dividing the State.
