The Visalandhra Mahasabha on Sunday announced that it would not allow the Centre to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh under any circumstances.

Talking to reporters after beginning hunger strike at Telugu Talli Statue near the Secretariat, Visalandhra Mahasabha leader Parakala Prabhakar said that the Central Government's move to divide the State would be opposed tooth and nail. He said that awareness campaigns would be organised across the State in favour of Samaikhyandhra.
