Will demand Rayalaseema State, if AP is divided: TGV

Minor Irrigation Minister Tg Venkatesh on Saturday came out with a new suggestion that could trigger a fresh debate over Telangana issue.

Talking to reporters here, Venkatesh said that if the division of Andhra Pradesh was inevitable, then the Centre should create separate Rayalaseema State by adding Nellore and Prakasam districts and two mandals - Alampur and Gadwal of Mahabubnagar district into the new State.

However, Venkatesh said that he would always remain in favour of united Andhra Pradesh as the division of State would badly hurt the interest of Rayalaseema region.
