The much-hyped meeting of the Congress Core Committee held here on Friday evening failed to take the much-awaited decision on the Telangana issue.
"The congress party has held widest consultation with all the political parties, with all leaders and finally the core group has now met the Chief Minster, Deputy Chief Minister and PCC Chief to take a final view," AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh said after the meeting. He also added that the issue would now be discussed with the Congress Working Committee and a decision would be taken soon.
Earlier, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Deputy CM Damodar Rajanarasimha and PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana presented their separate road-maps on Telangana. While Rajanarasimha advocated Telangana formation, the Chief Minister and Botsa reportedly gave negative opinion on the same.
