Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday exuded confidence that his party would return to power after 2014 elections.
Addressing the party’s North Telangana regional meeting at Bishop Beretta School Grounds in Kazipet here on Sunday, Naidu reiterated that after returning to power his government would waive all the bank loans, give nine-hour power supply, close all the belt shops, give more transparent and responsible governance. He also recalled the promises that he made during his Vastunna Mee Kosam padayatra. He asked the party workers who came from Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar and Adilabad districts to take his message among the people in villages.
Describing the Gram Panchayat elections as crucial, Naidu said that it was the TDP Government that strengthened the local bodies. However, he said that the Congress party never conducted the elections as scheduled. He said several villages lack basic amenities like drinking water, electricity, roads and drainages due to the negligent attitude of Congress Government.
Naidu informed that village and mandal level committees have been formed to ensure victory of TDP candidates in the local body elections.
Earlier, party leader Satyavathi Rathod, Ramesh Rathod and L Ramana addressed the party workers while Warangal district TDP president A Baswa Reddy welcomed the gathering.
