The Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly on Monday paid rich tributes to Avanigadda MLA Ambati Brahmanaiah, who passed away recently.
As soon as the House met on Monday at 10 AM, Speaker Nadendla Manohar announced the name of the deceased and asked all members to observe two minutes silence to pay homage. Later, speaking on the condolence motion, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy lauded the services rendered by Ambati Brahmanaiah for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Leader of the Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu, YS Vijaylakhsmi (YSRCP), Pocharam Srinivas Reddy (TRS), E Lakshmi Narayana (BJP), J Ranga Reddy (CPI), G Mallesh (CPI-M), Dr Jayaprakash Narayan (LS), Gali Muddukrishnamma Naidu (TDP) and ministers - Botsa Satyanarayana, K Parthasarathy and G Aruna Kumari paid rich tributes to Brahmanaiah. The leaders demanded that Brahmanaiah's statue be installed in Machlipatnam while naming a project after him.
After paying tributes to Ambati Brahmanaiah, the Speaker adjourned the House for the day till Tuesday morning.
