The Central Bureau of Investigation is gearing up to arrest former ministers B Dharmana Prasada Rao and P Sabitha Indira Reddy into the Disproportionate Assets Case of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Talking to reporters here, Cbi Joint Director J Lakshmi Narayana said that the Cbi would take the former ministers into custody and question them, if the court permits. The Cbi has already submitted a memo before the Cbi Special Court on Friday seeking their arrest. The next hearing on the case is posted on June 21.
The Cbi has objected to the interaction of two former ministers with the media claiming their innocence in the case. The Cbi contended that they could not speak about an issue which was subjudice and apprehended that they might influence the witnesses.
When asked about his transfer, Lakshmi Narayana said that he was yet to receive the transfer orders. He also denied of facing any pressure during his tenure in Andhra Pradesh.
