Union Health Minister and AICC General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad on Sunday claimed that a final decision on Telangana would be announced within a month.
Talking to media persons here, Azad said that a series of meetings have been lined up to discuss the issue for an amicable solution. He said that the Centre never sidelined the Telangana issue and several efforts were made to bring coordination between the leaders of different regions. Citing an instance, he said while the Chief Minister and PCC President were from Seemandhra regions, the Deputy Chief Minister is from Telangana.
Azad also condemned the decision of two Congress MPs to quit the party to join the TRS. Referring to the exit of K Keshav Rao, G Vivek and Manda Jagannatham, he said that those leaders have quit the Congress for the benefit of their families.
