A war of words broke out between TRS and Congress loyalists while indecisiveness had driven the fence sitters into a deep confusion.
While TRS leader K Taraka Rama Rao said that influx into the party is not a new phenomenon, Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana said that jumping the fence amounts to opportunism. "Congress will strive to get Telangana and it can give it. I firmly believe in it,” he said.
Ktr on the other hand said that people changing parties is not a new thing. Even Chandrababu Naidu and YSRCP have jumped fence, he said. Besides TDP, Congress and YSRCP even unattached legislators are also looking towards TRS, he said.
Senior leader K Jana Reddy said that Congress will give Telangana and he will quit politics if it is not done so. Another senior leader K Kesava Rao said they need not open a dialogue with Delhi.
Meanwhile, TDP spokesperson N Narsi Reddy said TRS fixing a deadline for defections shows that the party is on a sticky wicket. The scene in the 2014 elections will be different, he said.
