Lok Ayukta takes up Nag case

A complaint was lodged against film star Nagarjuna with the Lok Ayukta that he has encroached land at Madhapur area.

Based on the compliant Lok Ayukta has issued notices to GHMC, Environment Secretary, HMDA Comissioner and Tahasildar and seven others to submit details. The complaint was lodged by KasireddyBhaskar Reddy who contended that Nagarjuna has built N Convention Centre on the land encroached at Tammidi Tank.

There have been complaints on Nagarjuna about the N Convention centre and also using Annapurna Studios for other than film production works. The government has allotted the 22 acre land to his father Akkineni Nageshwara Rao for film production and related work at a nominal cost.
